My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NAME: Meara
GENDER: Female
BREED: Lab./Shepherd Mix
COLOR: Black/ Brown
AGE: 5 months
WEIGHT: 16 Lbs

Meara is a super sweet and friendly pup! She loves people and children. She gets along well with dogs as well as cats.

Meara is a docile puppy, very warm and cuddly. She is friendly to other dogs, humans and also cats. She has the angelic smile that will definitely melt your heart! She is very smart; she already mastered some basic commands. She can be very playful and energetic when she plays, and then become very quiet if she’s asked to do so.

About Meara’s rescue:
Meara was rescued along with her 5 siblings in the rural mountain area. The mother dog hid them on a hillside, which was surrounded by busy road and deep ditch. What’s even worse, the puppies were facing harassment from other stray dogs while the mother dog was out looking for food.
Luckily we found them in time and took them to the vet to have them examined. They were overall healthy, except for mal nutrition and skin infections. All puppies were placed with foster families where they received care and medical treatment. Under the loving care in the foster family, their coat become shiny and all have put back a good weight.

Meara is a healthy and happy girl! She is ready for adoption. Meara would be a great companion for any type of family. Please open your heart and let Meara become your best pal and bring lots of joy to your family!

Notes:
Meara may be allergic to certain vaccines (i.e. Pfizer Vanguard plus 5/CV-L). The symptoms first started with a fever, and then her hind legs would lose the strength to stand up. It has happened three times so far, and every time the symptoms emerged a few days later right after the shots (Pfizer Vanguard Plus 5/CV-L). The treatment we found that works well is to keep her appetite and give her enough food, and then provide her enough vitamin-D or sunlight along with appropriate amount of calcium. She will be back on her feet in just few days.
