Mudslide in TX's Story...
Howdy from Texas! I have been in my foster home for a few weeks now, nicknamed Missy, and learning a whole lot about living life. My foster parents say I am a puppy in spirit, so be ready for some action! My zest for life is unrelenting but I do settle down in mom or dad’s lap for quiet snuggles and naps. Let me tell you what I love in my new found freedom: I love all stuffed toys, (and lots of them). Doesn't matter to me if they squeak or not. I can destuff one pretty well too. Also love the Kong with goodies stuffed inside. I haven't figured out how to destroy the Kong or the Nylabone - but I’m working on it. My afternoon walks are fun for me too, and other than crossing in front of you every now and then (foster mom is working on that) I can pick ‘em up and put ‘em down with the best. At times I grab a rock or a stick just for mom to take away from me, so now I have a toy that I carry while I walk. If my mouth is full I can’t pick up what I shouldn’t. This home has lots of stairs (all carpeted) and I learned how to bound up and down those in no time, once I got the all clear from my spay surgery. So far I my house-breaking is coming along nicely, occasionally I still have a wee accident but mom takes the blame for it - go figure? My foster mom told me that I am a good student as far as verbal commands go, I know “leave it” also know what 'arghhh' or 'errrr' means when I attempt to get into something I should not. So if you are looking for a happy girl who loves people and can be a snuggle bunny, put in your application. Foster mom here: Mudslide is living in her foster home with a male and female Cairn and they get along perfectly. She is absolutely adorable and sweet, and wants nothing more than to follow us around the house. She is fully recovered from her spay and she's up to date on all her vaccines.
Mudslide is being fostered in Galveston, Texas in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mudslide in TX, a Fort Worth Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
