Sweet Melissa in MI's Story...

When Sweet Melissa's elderly owner could no longer care for her, she found her way into the loving arms of Col. Potter. What can I tell you about Sweet Melissa? She's adorable (as you can tell from her picture). She loves people, going for walks and rides in the car. Although she pretty much ignores her foster brother and sisters right now, foster mom is hoping that will change with time. Sweet Melissa is completely housebroken and will bark when she wants to go out. Of course, she barks at other times too, so you're not sure whether she's asking to go out or just barking to hear herself bark. She knows several commands; 'sit', 'stay', 'come' plus a few more, although she's having a problem answering to her name. She climbs stairs with ease. Last night, she found the toy box and dug around until she found a couple of toys that looked interesting and pulled those out. She is happiest when she is with you and doesn't like it when she can't see you.

SWEET MELISSA is being fostered in CLARKSTON, MICHIGAN in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Melissa in MI, a Medina Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Medina, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Medina.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medina already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medina breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medina paves the way for another one to be saved.
