Lily in BC's Story...
Lily is a lively, adorable 13 lb wheaten lady. She has spent most of her life in a pet store and was very fortunate to find her way to Colonel Potter.
So far, Lily has thoroughly enjoyed meeting the older children and adults in the family and exploring the big world. Lily enjoys running freely and playing with her toys. She is a very curious and inquisitive girl who finds everything interesting! Lily is interacting very well with the resident senior Pomeranian. She was recently spayed and vaccinations are up-to-date.
Lily traveled well, by car, in her crate, and keeps it dry during the night.
This young lady responds wonderfully to voice and is so aware of everything around her that it will be no time before she is familiar with household routines. Lily's New Year's Resolution is find a wonderful home of her very own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily in BC, a Portland Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
