Mixer in BC's Story...
Mixer is ready to move on to his new forever home. He was surrendered to a shelter and it is obvious he was used to home setting; he is fully house trained and has great house manners. Mixer has adapted well to my work schedule. After a walk or a good play in the morning, he is ready to spend his day with the resident Cairns. Mixer loves soft toys and likes to play tug and chasing games. He has calmed down when meeting new dogs or people and now shows good manners when meeting everyone. Mixer has explored the city, country parks and beaches on our walks. He loves to sniff and hunt for rabbits but is also at home on city streets or sitting at an outside café. Mixer is an active boy, yet also enjoys quiet time in the company of my dogs or sleeping in his favorite spot on the couch.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mixer in BC, a Portland Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
