Withrow in CA's Story...
Withrow has been fostered in our home with his longtime kennel mate Wilhelmina. They are inseparable around the house and spend lots of time playing with each other. Withrow loves people and would love to be adopted with Wilhelmina. He's a sweet, friendly boy who is trying hard to overcome any fears he may be experiencing in this new life, but he shows no aggression to our other dogs. He's met a cat and was very curious, but got a few hisses for his interest; no physical confrontations though. Keep coming back to check on this boy and his progress with potty training and leash walking.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Withrow in CA, a Portland Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
