Wool in CA's Story...
Wool (we call him Brutus, it just fits!) is the most adorable boy dog ever! I let him out of his kennel in the morning and we all run to the back door and run out to the back yard trees for our morning 'business', then we run and play and chase each other (with my girl Cairn). After that he runs up to me and looks up at me as if to say 'whadda we gonna do today'? His enthusiasm for his new life just makes you laugh. He has a little trot when he runs and he has to wind his tail up before he can shake. We are working on his propensity for marking, but he wags his tail when you put his belly band on so he doesn't mind. Wool is a lover!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wool in CA, a Portland Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
