Doc C. in CT's Story...

Doc C has just been freed from a commercial breeding facility. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. Doc had several bad teeth removed during his cleaning and is in good health. Doc is a friendly but shy boy who startles easily. He's very curious and is enjoying this taste of freedom by exploring his surroundings, playing with the resident dogs and learning to trust humans. In a short week, Doc has learned to willingly go into his crate at night to sleep and will go to his crate during the day if he needs quiet time. He also knows his name, comes when I call him and responds to the word 'no'. We're working on building Doc's trust and exposing him to the comforts of home. Once Doc is more comfortable with his surroundings, we'll start leash training. CLICK HERE FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION AND UPDATES ON DOC. C IN CONNECTICUT
Doc C. is being fostered in Portland, Connecticut in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doc C. in CT, a Whitesboro Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Whitesboro, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Whitesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Whitesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Whitesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Whitesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
