Leon has tested heart worm negative and is now ready for his forever home. As with Bradley, the need to keep Leon calm during treatment has limited his exposure to many situations so we're looking forward to slowly building his resistance and muscle tone, and learning a bit more about this very sweet boy. Leon is fairly low key and somewhat of a momma's boy, though he's comfortable with his foster dad, too. Leon's lost six pounds and is starting to look really good. He adores car rides and is always upbeat and wagging his tail. We're still working daily on the knots is Leon's coat but I'm hopeful with good nutrition and grooming we can get a bit harsher coat on him that's less prone to knotting. Everyone who has met Leon and Bradley, from the people who pulled them from the shelter, to the transport people who worked to get them to their foster home, to the Colonel Potter volunteer that kept them for a few days until their transport could be arranged thought they were the nicest, sweetest dogs they had met in a long time. Both can use some obedience training but I've rarely seen Cairns in foster care with so few issues. These boys are fantastic!
