Joie in MO's Story...
Joie is a very sweet little girl. She is very low key. I haven't heard her bark in the three months she's been here. But she always wags her tail when we come in her room and does a little happy dance with her front feet. She's happy lying beside us on the couch or playing on the floor with toys. She likes to play outside, too. Joie would be happiest right now as an only dog in a quiet household. She's low key, so a busy household would be stressful on her. She may learn to play with other dogs, but for right now she'd prefer to be the princess of her forever home. Joie doesn't have excess energy or need to run. She walks well on a leash. Although she enjoys exploring my yard, she doesn't necessarily need a yard of her own. Regular walks and time, and loving attention from her forever family would make her happy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joie in MO, a Topeka Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Topeka, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Topeka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Topeka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Topeka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Topeka paves the way for another one to be saved.
