Lara in MO's Story...

Lara is a soft-coated blond bombshell who enjoys attention from her humans. She always seems to be in a happy mood, tail up and nose to the wind. Nothing gets by this girl! She is fearful of thunderstorms and lightning, which start her shaking and seeking a protected spot to curl up in until the storm passes. The camera flash has now been associated with that fear, so I'm working on getting better pictures of her than these first ones taken from across the yard. On a sunny day, you'd never guess this girl was afraid of anything - watching for those little grey critters trying to invade her yard is one of her favorite pastimes!

LARA is being fostered in SULLIVAN, MISSOURI in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lara in MO, a Topeka Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Topeka, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Topeka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Topeka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Topeka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Topeka paves the way for another one to be saved.
