Polka Dot's Story...

Meet Dot....sometimes known as Polka Dot.  This little girl will make a sweet lapcat. She always stays close to you.  She thought she'd found her forever home, but her pet parent turned out to be allergic.  Will you give her the second chance she's anxiously waiting for?

Dot is only about 10 weeks old, but she will be spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested for FIV/FeLV and prior to adoption.  But we're taking applications now!  Email us at adoption@smittenwithkittens.net for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polka Dot, a Tallahassee Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
