Kit-Kat's Story...

This is Kit-Kat!  This sweet and quite little 8 week old girl is now ready to be adopted. She's ready and waiting at the Petco in Pembroke Pines, but she's hoping she won't be there for too long.  She's hoping the color of her fur won't have people overlook her. Won't you give her a chance of her forever home?

Kit-Kat has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for FIV/FeLV prior to being adopted.   Email us at  adoption@smittenwithkittens.net  for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kit-Kat, a Tallahassee Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
