Minx's Story...

Meet MINX!  This pretty tabby and white little girl has just come available.  She's been a a part of the SWK bunch for a while now, but she took her sweet time to make weight to be spayed and ready to go.  I think she new it meant having to come to our adoption center.  She's a sweet girl, and hates being left at the store.  So she came up with the excuse to get a treatable skin ailment...enough to get her sent back to foster.  She knows how to get what she wants.

But even though she's not at the store, we are definitely taking applications for her. She be ready before you know it.  And even though she's already about 16 weeks old now (as of 8/15/13), you wouldn't even know it by looking at her she's so petite.

Minx has been spayed, dewormed and received age appropriate vaccinations. For more information, e mail us at .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minx, a Tallahassee Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
