Eva's Story...
Beautiful and compassionate 'Queen' Eva...
Rescued from a high kill shelter in the nick of time with her four babies this snow white beauty is taking applications to find her forever home.  She is about 11 months old (as of 9/1/13) and is currently in foster learning that it's okay to come out of her shell, which she does given just a short amount of time.  Once comfortable she seeks love and affection, just like any other kitten which she still is herself.
She's done a great job with her babies, but now it's time she got some attention from a forever home.  With her pure white coat and enormous gold eyes she is truly worthy to be Queen of any castle.

All our cats/kittens will arrive at their forever homes neutered or spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for FIV/FeLV prior to being adopted.   Email us at adoption@smittenwithkittens.net  for more information.     Or come meet her at the Flagler Petsmart in Miami.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eva, a Tallahassee Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
