Hector's Story...

Hi I am Hector “the Macho” and you are now in love…

With me of course!  A love which I will return whole heartedly.  I am a true lover of a baby boy cat who is 8 weeks old (as of 12/02/2013)   I am a big boy but as gentle as a lamb.  Love to give kisses and I will grab your face between my two front paws ever so gently to do so.  I was a guest-kitten at Thanksgiving dinner and was a real hit with everyone, young and old alike.  I love to be held and truly enjoy people, even little people called ‘children’.  And when I get sleepy I will come up to you so you can hold me.  Within minutes I am off to dreamland, fast asleep in your arms.  And that is just my personality, a gentle lover man-cat waiting for his forever home.  My dreamy grey eyes, fluffy super soft grey and white coat are just a bonus.  The true gem is my loving nature.  So please fill out the application the nice people at SWK have, I am waiting…

Hector will be neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for FIV/FeLV prior to adoption. Email us at  adoption@smittenwithkittens.net  for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hector, a Tallahassee Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
