Queenie's Story...
Queenie is a 3 year old Miniature Dachshund. For anyone that has owned a miniature Dachshund, we will say she's very typical of the breed. She will bark when someone first comes in until she is sure of that person and then she will sit on the person's lap giving kisses. All she really wants is a lap to cuddle on and a fluffy dog bed. Foster mom tells us ~
She's walks fantastic on leash and very much enjoys short little walks throughout the day.
She's never had an accident and will cry and circle at the door to go out.
She's perfectly fine when left alone as well, no anxiety, doesn't chew anything.
She gets very excited to greet me whenever she gets back and will jump and do crazy dancing/ happy wiggling. She's a joy to come home to.

We would love to see her in a calm home with a couple who can give her lots of love and couple little walks a day. A retired person would be wonderful for Queenie.

Queenie is now spayed and up to date with her vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350. If you are interested in meeting Queenie, please email us at for an application or our app can be found on our website

All of our pets are in loving foster homes, so in order to set up an appointment to meet the pet, we need an approved application on hand. We are not a shelter. Thank you for understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Queenie, a Hanover Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
