My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

An adoption application on CONLEY can be found at the following link:
http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h

Please email the completed application to kate.woofriver@gmail.com. Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.

CONLEY is a really friendly boy who loves all people. When he goes for a walk, he gets sad when people don't stop to pet him. He does well with puppies and cats; he leaves his foster cat brother alone for the most part, but sometimes playfully chases him down the hallway. CONLEY hasn't spent a ton of time around kids, but he has met some middle school students, and he is always excited to meet kids at the park or on a restaurant patio. CONLEY loves any sort of ball or sport. He loves "chase" or "monkey in the middle." He cannot have toys because he has been known to swallow them whole. He's a cuddler, and he is fully potty trained and crate trained.

His $450 adoption fee includes an interstate health certificate and transport to New England.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
