Facts about Dozer

  • Breed: Chihuahua
  • Color: Brindle - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Dozer is a gorgeous Chihuahua who is a dilute brindle in color and has ice blue eyes! He is very unique. Dozer came to our rescue because his previous owner kept him in a crate 24 hours a day. He lived in a crate, and we think for most, if not all of his life. He's a bigger Chihuahua, around 12-14 lbs. He does to need to go on a doggy diet, but this is probably because he never got exercise or walked. He is 4 years of age.
If you would like to meet Dozer, please go to our website to fill out an adoption application and read about the adoption process.

About Furkid Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Furkid Rescue is a small, private home-based rescue located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We officially started our organized rescue efforts in the spring of 2008, but have been rescuing and working with other rescue groups and local shelters for over 5 years. We take in mainly Pit Bull puppies who have been rescued from gas kill pounds, animal control facilities, backyard breeders, or people who are no longer able to keep their pets. We rarely take in owner’s surrenders unless we find that the owner has a valid reason for abandoning the pet. Furkid Rescue will also save other breeds when there is room in one of our breed-experienced foster homes. You may see mastiffs, chihuahuas, or a fabulous mutt who needs a wonderful home! Please visit our main site to read more about our rescue, our adoption process, and to download an adoption application.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a physical location. We try to give our animals the best foster experience possible, not only for their comfort, but to implement training and make sure they are getting the best care imaginable. Once you are approved for an meet and greet, we are more than willing to bring the dog to your home so that you can spend time with the dog(s) of your choice

Our Adoption Process...

There is always an adoption fee to cover medical expenses such as spay/neuter/shots/pound fees.
There is a home check and contract that is required to adopt a dog.
