Ollie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Ollie's Story...
Ollie is 8 years old. He is good with other dogs, cats and kids. Ollie has had skin allergies and ear infections in the past and will always need medication or a special diet for his allergies. We did do surgery on his ear to prevent future infections. He does have some hear loss due to untreated infections. Ollie also has dry eyes so he will always need eye drops and salve. Ollie is on Phenobarbitol for past seizures. He isn't having them now but will probably always be on medication. Ollie will make a great little lap dog but adopter must be dedicated to keeping his ear infections, eyes and allergies under control. The monthly cost for his medications is around $100.00. We know the right person is out there who will love to take care of this cute little boy. Contact Homes Fur Hounds if interested in Ollie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ollie, a Williamsburg Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Williamsburg, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Williamsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williamsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williamsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williamsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
