Sammy's Story...
if you are looking for an awesome little friend...you need to meet Sammy, Mr Personality! Sammy is 8 years old and in great health. He just had his teeth done and is totally ready to go to a wonderful new home. Sammy isn't your little chihuahua...he's a sturdy 18 pound boy who is up for whatever adventure you are ready for. He loves to sleep under the covers, either in his bed or yours:)

Sammy loves attention so he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. You have to see the little happy dance Sammy does when his brush or bag of treats come into view. The only thing more fun than a good brushing is playtime with his tennis ball! Oh, and there’s also that special red (Kong) ball his fosters stuff with food and treats at dinnertime. Sammy is hoping for a home with no young children or other dogs. Sammy enjoys car rides and leash walks, but has no difficulty staying home alone for reasonable periods. He’s just the sort of a guy who doesn’t demand attention, but loves affection and will be a loyal companion to the right family.

not seen him with cats. He really loves people, of all shapes and sizes. This boy would make a great companion dog. You really have to meet him!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Bellingham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
