Otis's Story...

Otis was an owner surrender because they could no longer take care of him. Otis was being kept as an outside dog and never learned to socialize with humans. Otis is now an amazing dog , after months of training and reintroductions with the world he has flourished to become the most amazing little dog anyone could ask for. This little guy is full of personality and vigor. Since he never had toys before he learned to play with rocks and sticks outside but now that he has a box full of toys, you will never find a toy inside the box. He loves to play and loves everyone! Potty training has been the hardest thing to learn but I can now honestly say he is potty trained. Otis needs a household with another dog companion, no cats and no small children. He currently lives with 8 cats but gets too excited around them, he is fine with older children but no toddlers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otis, a Clayton Pug/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Chihuahua for sale in Clayton, or seeking a Pug/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Clayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pug/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
