Meet our Chica, a small side of medium 35lb bundle of energetic love. We can only imagine how a darling hungry girl found herself with no home wondering up and down FM1488. Well she picked her a house that looked friendly and let them know she needed sanctuary. Her newly found friends, had a full house but gave it their best attempt to find her home. Did she have one? Ads, lost and found and social media post abound, no owner turned up for our little girl. She was turned over to the safety of Texas Animal Society and a caring foster. Some good groceries, proper vetting and a bit of training and Chica turned herself into the most gorgeous smooth jet black coat and pearly white smile you have ever seen. She is playful, very affectionate, smart, friendly and has energy abound to keep up with an active lifestyle. You like to jog, walk, stroll around the green belt, wandering in the woods, hike, meander on adventure, explore a park, she will be right by your side. She is fully house and kennel trained. Vaccinated, spayed, microchipped. She is not little or large, she is medium and perfect. She can sit, give her paw, leg hug and “play dead”. Chica already loves you and who does not need some extra love in their life. Chic is a mix of Border Collie/Pointer/Lab, all the best traits. Consider adopting Chica, she is ready and waiting. About Texas Animal Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Our goal is to promote the health and care of pets in your community through involvement, education and prevention (spay/neuter), to give a voice to the animals in need and to provide a means for others to help in the plight of dogs and cats in need of assistance, care and homes. Through the means of rescue, volunteering and fostering we can help accomplish the ultimate goal of providing quality care and humane livelihood for dogs and cats in Texas. We strive to work with individuals, county facilities, other rescues and local communities.

Founded in 2011 as MCASociety to support our local animal shelter, we soon learned we should strive to do more and rebranded to Texas Animal Society. Reaching beyond our local shelter to help the community and others as well as our shelter.

TAS is strictly operated by donations. All donations directly benefit animal welfare and care of dogs and cats.
Please consider donating to TAS for the continued rescue efforts and vetting for dogs and cats in need.
