Our Piper is playing beautiful music. You will be lucky to be the first adoption application approved at ITVRescue.org because Piper is super special. She's got her nose to the ground searching for a new family. Our Beagle/Staffordshire Terrier Mix is a playful gal and just a lot of fun. So who would think that not long ago, she was on that dreadful euthanasia list in an area kill shelter? Not us! But when we saw this 1 year-old beauty scared and alone, we made her some promises. We told Piper we would get her proper care, give her a lot of love, and then search the kingdom for a family who will never let her see inside a shelter again. Oh, Piper was thrilled with our proposal! She's been a pure joy and has such a bright future ahead of her.

Since our first fateful meeting, Piper is now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Piper weighs about 40 pounds. She was brave through it all and is so excited to start meeting and greeting for the perfect fit. Piper has had a lot of changes in her short life, but she is resilient and has a big heart ready to overflow with love for you! She likes other dogs but does need a proper introduction. Gotta love a gal with taste! Piper is smart and walks well on a leash. She is also learning to keep her kennel area clean. A consistent pack leader will help her to learn the new house rules. Piper is a higher energy gal so will do best in an active home. She loves to play and would love to make you here forever playmate. Piper is ready for the great changes ahead and anxious to please her new guardian. We want to fulfill our promises to Piper and see her walk out of ITV with her tail happily wagging. Our Piper will bring a lifetime of beautiful music to her new family. Hurry to our website to be the first in line to give Piper the homes she deserves!

About It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are generally at Petsmart on Burkhart every Sunday and have adoption events at various locations throughout the year.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $150 to $175. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.
