Skye has received 2 months of professional training, focusing primarily on groundwork, at Sweet Carolina Acres and is currently in training at All Purpose Horsemanship. where she is being ridden daily. Skye will walk/trot/lope under saddle and has been ridden in an arena and out on trails. She does still get nervous under saddle so needs a very experienced rider / trainer to continue her education under saddle. She leads, loads, picks up all feet, stands tied. She's barefoot (riding boots are used for very rocky ground) with good hooves. She's sound and healthy. She will sell with a no breeding contract. Skye's adoption fee is negotiable considering that continued training is needed - if you are interested in adopting her, please contact us and we can discuss details of adoption. Our goal is for her is to go to a great home where she will either continue in professional training or, if a new owner didn't wish to ride her, they would have the option of not continuing professional training. We are including continued professional training through March 1st as part of her adoption.
Our rescue is in Seneca SC. Our horses are current on basic vaccines, dentistry, hoof care, and Coggins.
