These pictures do not do this adorable little dog justice. At 2.5 years and 17 lbs., she is the cutest thing! She was transferred to us by the MSPCA in Methuen and her paperwork said she was a Beagle/Corgi mix, but that is just a guess. She does have short legs, but they don't stop her from jumping up on the chairs or doghouse in our outside fenced area. Her previous owner described her as sassy and playful. She does get nervous around new people and would bark when strangers came to the house. She came to us with her friend Ajax, and they are very playful together. She was around kids as young as 8 months and loved the owner's grandchildren. She seems friendly with other dogs, but has not lived with cats. She will need to be spayed prior to going to a new home.

Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
