Misty's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Misty's Story...
Misty is a gorgeous, stunning, super sweet girl. She is just over one year old and still full of puppy energy, playfulness and mischief. She is a vibrant young pup in need of a home where she will receive extensive training and guidance to help her become a perfect little lady. She has been receiving one-on-one training with her foster caregivers and is currently enrolled in agility training. She will need to continue working with trainer and/or enroll in obedience classes to continue learning manners and reducing reactivity to common situations encountered while out on walks (bicycles, skateboards, joggers, dogs, loud vehicles, motorcycles and sometimes helicopters).
Misty is a strong, young dog that needs an experienced owner that can handle her confidently when she responds inappropriately to external stimuli. She needs to be placed in a home with adults who will reinforce expectations for appropriate behaviors. Please visit our adoption information page to learn more about the adoption process and determine which area coordinator is nearest you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Gardena Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Gardena, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Gardena.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gardena already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gardena breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gardena paves the way for another one to be saved.
