Terra's Story...
Terra is a big bunch of love in a small package. She was found running loose in a park in West Virginia. A family of Doberman lovers (they have 4 male Dobies!) had the supreme love and patience that probably ended up saving this girl, as the horrible flooding rains came shortly after they caught her and got her safely to their home. The intention was to keep her as she is a love. Terra did great with all their male Dobes but the Beagles and the cat, ummm, not she was not a fan of them. So she arrived here looking for her chance to find a roof instead of sky, and a soft bed instead of earth, to call her forever home. She is also retiring from motherhood without complaint. This does not mean she does not like human children as she was wonderful with the kind families two boys, the youngest of whom is 9 years old. Well mannered, dog savvy kids, and she was in heaven with them. The parents did say she could sometimes get overly affectionate with the kids but the adults would show them how to give her boundaries. She is an angel in our office, loves to come in quietly and just sit down by you. Out in our big yards though, she will go from docile to warp-speed-bunny in 5 seconds flat. This girl can move when she wants to! She is probably around 2 years old so this explains the joy of youth and likely her running off some anxiety as well. Freedom from a breeder, a good meal and many hands and hearts to love a girl will give you a bit of an extra bounce it seems. She rode nicely in the car all the way here, but like so many, she needs solid leash training, pulls and tugs. She is a red girl after all, so will try to dominate you somehow!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Terra, a New Richmond Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in New Richmond, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in New Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
