My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please welcome the awesome RIDDICK to Saving Paws. This boy is an owner surrender to the rescue. His people didn't want him any more as they felt he was needy and OCD, and always trying to get IN the house. What we found out was that he was living in a backyard, and he was LONELY and BORED and DESPERATE to be with his people! UMMM - HE's a GSD! He wants nothing more than to hang out with his family, and maybe chase a ball now and then! Riddick is about 5 years old and he... is a sweet guy. He is in foster with our vol Kevin, and we are just learning about him, but Kevin reports he has had no accidents in the house. He is learning about the crate and doing well. He's good about playing with his toys and staying off the furniture. He also is doing well on a leash. He does sometimes jump on you for attention - but that is a residual of being lonely, and he is already getting better about that. He gets a little anxious about being separated, but that is also improving quickly. We think Riddick is going to make someone a really great buddy - and he SO deserves a chance to BE with a great adopter who will consider him one of the family! If you are an active family looking for an INDOOR companion - and you would like to offer RIDDICK the chance for a REAL life - please fill out our online application to get the approval process in motion. We won't schedule meet & greets without an approved app on file. Here's the link:
