Hi, My name is GINGER, and I’ve been in a foster home for about 1 ½ months and I’ve learned a lot. My previous owners did not socialize me and I started nipping because I was afraid. I’m VERY smart and still have many puppy mannerisms, so I will need an experienced dog owner. I want to be alpha.
Because I’m a Heeler, I DO NOT do well with small children. Please don’t take the chance, I will nip them. I should be fine with teens as long as they are loving and respectful towards me.
Cats? I’ve been living with two cats and have not bitten them, but they are fun to chase. It’s probably best not to have cats around, but I would love another dog to play with.
I’m house-trained, know many commands and hike off leash with my foster family and pack. I’m respectful to other hikers, including children, as long as they don’t want to pet me. I walk on a leash but NEED someone who will take me running, biking or hiking on the trails. THIS IS A MUST! When I get bored, I can get naughty.
I like to see what’s on your counters; food beware. I also like to see what’s in your bathroom trash can. I’ve been known to eat tissues.
Can I remind you that I’m very athletic and agile? I can clear a 4-foot fence. My backyard needs a 6-foot fence. I also require a family who will allow me to stay inside. Because my previous family did not include me, I began nipping and I don’t want to do that again. It would be very helpful to frequent the dog park and continue my socialization.
