Finn's Story...
Finn is a small Australian Cattle Dog mix that weighs about 18lbs. He came to us from a county shelter in NC where he was picked up as a stray. Finn is very loyal to whom he perceives his human to be which is not unusual for a Cattle Dog. He loves to snuggle and go for walks. Finn is very smart, wants to please, and needs a job to do. If you are looking for a dog to train in agility I believe he would excel. He would probably also love to have jobs around the house such as learning to open the fridge door on command, closing the door to the dishwasher, etc. Finn will do best in a home where all family members will equally participate in his care, feeding, and exercising. In this way, he should bond with all members of the family and learn that they are his pack leaders. Finn gets along well with other dogs with appropriate introduction. We would not recommend him for a family with children or cats. If you are interested in Finn please fill out our adoption application. There is a link under the adoption tab on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Siler City Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Siler City, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Siler City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Siler City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Siler City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Siler City paves the way for another one to be saved.
