Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rita, Rita Red, MargaRITA or just about anything you want to call her because she’ll answer with a smile and a tail wag. Rita is a sweet, low maintenance love that weighs 29 pounds and is approximately 3-4 years old. She is a hound mix of some sort, perhaps Vizsla or Redbone and her expressions often look like a Weimeraner’s! Not only is this photogenic beauty sweet but she is house-trained as well. Rita lives in a foster home that has two other small dogs and she gets along just fine with them. Rita is a very low shedder.
Rita will be your little sidekick but will also spend time by herself paying with a toy, chewing on a bully stick, or taking a nap. Rita sleeps in her crate or doggy bed at night and is crate trained if you wish to crate her while away. She does well with car rides and isn’t a picky eater. Rita is a dream on leashed walks and walks with a slack loose leash unless she sees a critter that she’s interested in. She really enjoys her walks. Rita is a smart girl figuring out the doggy door all by herself. She loves to sun and will lay out at any chance she gets. Here’s a cute video of Rita excited about her dinner - https://youtu.be/hiCyxjgjV_k.
Rita has so much to give and deserves a loving home. She is a healthy girl, up-to-date on vetting, spayed, and microchipped. Rita is being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but can be transported up north for a perfect fit. If interested in Rita please fill out an application at http://forrescue.net/dog-application/ or email info@FORrescue.net with any questions. The application is not binding it is simply how we start the conversation. Rita looks forward to meeting her forever family!
