BEN's Story...
BEN

Meet BEN and his brother JERRY.
These two affectionate and gentle souls are 3 yr. old brothers who were surrendered to the shelter together. Sadly, their beloved purrson has become very ill and can no longer take care of them.

Ben and Jerry are a bonded pair who are very very talkative, sweet and fully engaged in their interactions with everyone. We call them our ambassador cats because they get along with every singe resident of the cattery and have a lovely positive balancing/calming effect on the newcomers. Come to the shelter to meet our fabulous felines and you will most definitely fall in love. There are so many reasons to visit Bergen County Protect and Rescue today, and they all have a name.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BEN, a Cliffside Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cliffside Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cliffside Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cliffside Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cliffside Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cliffside Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
