Missie's Story...
Pre-owned '03 model available for the bargain price of $1 thanks to the Friends of DuPage County Animal Care & Control! We have kicked the tires, looked under the hood, and checked her oil, this model may be older but she has plenty of miles left in her!

Missie is a darling older, female looking for a family to call her own! Sweet and a little bashful she would do well in a quiet home that can appreciate her gentle nature. Thanks to the Friends of DuPage County Animal Control Missie has had a full Senior Bloodwork Panel which showed that she is purrfectly healthy! Come down to the lot (err Wheaton PetCo) and take this pretty girl out for a test drive! Missie would prefer to be the only car(cat) in the garage (house). Older models need more attention!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missie, a Wheaton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wheaton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wheaton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wheaton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wheaton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wheaton paves the way for another one to be saved.
