Facts about Wolfgang

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
We don't have Wolfgang's history since he came from the high-kill facility in north. GA but he seems a little sad and unsure of himself. We don't think he was treated well before we met him. We hope to rewrite his life story and provide a happy ending, or more appropriately, a happy new beginning for him.

Wolfgang is around 2-3 years old and weighs 40 lbs. He is shy around men, fine with dogs but not cats.

Wolfgang is healthy but has a case of heartworms which we'll see him through. Heartworms aren't contagious, you and other animals will not contract heartworms from him. They are curable when caught early and show no outward symptoms except in advanced cases (coughing). Heartworms are caused by mosquitoes and are all too common here in the south but are completely preventable with an inexpensive monthly pill. Wolfgang is taking a monthly pill (which we will pay for) until a blood test (which we'll also pay for) shows he's rid of them. This could take 6 months to over a year. We've had many happy adopters who've rescued a heartworm-positive dog. Speak to your vet if you need more feedback.

Email or call 770-971-0100 for more info. For first dibs on an animal, it's best to go ahead and complete an adoption application, found at

Adoption fees include spaying/neutering, micro-chipping, vaccinations up to date at the time of adoption, one free check-up at Town & Country main vet clinic within 14 days of adoption and a free session with Tenasity dog trainers!

About Homeless Pets Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

The Homeless Pets Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1998 by Dr. Michael Good, an Atlanta veterinarian who saw a need to create an organization that could assist animal shelters and pet owners in need. In the Atlanta area alone, there are more than 100,000 animals destroyed each year for lack of a home. The Foundation provides critical medical care, food, foster care and comfort to these homeless animals.
