HOWARD NEEDS A NEW FOSTER HOME AS HIS FOSTER FAMILY IS MOVING AND WON'T BE ABLE TO TAKE HIM WITH THEM
Poor Howie (aka Howard) is growing up in rescue through no fault of his own and that's just not fair!. Howie is a big ole teddy bear that loves everyone and doesn't understand the term 'Black dog syndrome' or how it applies to him. He is such a handsome Black Lab mix and is sweet as could be, but yet he continues to be overlooked.
Howie is young, full of exuberance and puppy like energy! He would love to find an active family to enjoy lifes adventures with.
He really enjoys socializing at the local dog park and gets really excited while hanging with his friends there.
He is kennel trained and knows when it's time to go to his kennel in the morning when his foster family is heading out for the day.
He is very smart and learns basic commands quickly, however as a young dog he still needs to be reminded of 'the rules' when out in public amongst the many distractions of the world. He will benefit from obedience training with his new family.
Howie has been great with his 7 yr old human foster brother, but he's not overly aware of his big size, so he may knock over smaller children until he has some more training.
Howie would love to curl up with you on the couch in the evening to watch a movie or keep you warm in bed during the cold Fall and Winter months ahead.
Will you be the family that can give him the loving home he has been waiting for?
