Domino's mama dog is a 40 lb. black lab mix, a community stray. She was taken into rescue immediately after giving birth and the pups were cared for in a loving foster home. Domino (originally named Skittles) was adopted as a puppy into a loving home. Unfortunately, his little girl is allergic to him. It took a long while to know it was Domino causing her reactions, because the family already had a Lab mix that does not trigger her allergies. It broke their hearts to return him to Operation Pets Alive.
Domino loves to play with his fostermates, to run outside, to chew on doggie bones, and he especially loves attention from people. He is housebroken and has some training. He is crate trained, leash trained, and rides well in the car. He is not a huge eater especially with the summer heat, although he does love his treats. Sometimes I give him a special treat of wet food mixed in his dry. He loves that. His one drawback that was a concern for his loving family was how he loves to bark at strangers. He did not do that to me but I met him on equal territory in the front porch and just took it slow. Once he knows you he will love you. He is on the cautious side but quickly warms to loving/kind people. He is beauitiful, sweet, and fun. This sweet guy would make a great addition to your family!
Domino loves water and toys and he takes treats gently.
