Splash's Story...
Splash is a tiny, adorable, unusual ginger female kitten with cute little white paws and wide orange eyes. Splash has had a rough start in life but she has overcome the challenges that life has thrown her way. She was born on April 27 by C-section and was the tiniest of the litter from the day she was born. Her foster mom worried that she might not make it, but her mama Summer took extra special care of her. Thanks to Summer, Splash thrived. Splash can be shy at first, so she's hoping for a quiet, cat-experienced home who will give her lots of love and patience while she adjusts. Once she gets to know you, she is a gentle, loving girl who will sit on your lap and purr as long as you'll let her. She is not particularly rambunctious but likes to play with feather toys and her mom's tail. She and her mama Summer love to snuggle together and would make a great pair. Being around Summer definitely helps her feel more confident, too. These two sweet girls can't wait to find the right home and are ready to reward their forever family with a lifetime of love.

Please apply online and ask my foster mom Kelsey all about me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Splash, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
