Lucky Day!'s Story...
Hi, my name is Lucky or also known as Lucky Day.

I am very lucky to have been rescued 2 x, and also to still be alive. I was rescued and raised by and other rescue, who adopted me out and that lady, when getting a new man who did not like me, dumped me outside and moved. Having NO claws at all I was on my own over 1 year and when I got turned in to the Ark only skin and bone. I also had a bad infection in one of my paws and the Ark was fighting with their Vets a long time for me to keep it and fight back the infection.
I mad it and now look at me. I am a great cat and are looking handsome again.

If you visit the Ark and ask for Lucky, that's me! Check under Ninas desk, I may be taking a nap.

Ark Rescue cats are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky Day!, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
