My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION PENDING ~ Max is 6 years old, he has A LOT OF ENERGY, loves kids. He gets along great with other pugs and other small dogs. He liked to chase the cat is his foster home, but with some positive training, he learned to ignore the cat. He is a quick learner, loves to snuggle and needs lots of belly rubs. Max is working very hard to improve his potty manners & might need a little help. Max is learning to walk on a leash. Max does not get along with large dogs. Max needs a family that will be patient with him, help him with some basic dog training & potty manners. He is very sweet and is a quick learner too.

Max did test positive for lyme disease and he is on antibiotics for a month. Max will be retested again before he is adopted. Lyme disease is something that will always be with him. As he grows he might have a flair up but its nothing that some antibiotics cant help with. He is lucky that we caught this lyme disease early, if it was left untreated, it can cause paralysis. Some symptoms of lyme disease are lameness, swelling in the joints, swollen lymph nodes, lethargy, and loss of appetite. Lucky for Max, he did not show any symptoms.

If you would like to give this handsome pug a furever home, please go to our website and complete an adoption application www.rescuepug.com Our adoption process consists of a vet reference check, a telephone interview and home visit. Its a lengthy process as we do every thing we can to make sure your home is a good match for Max. Our motto is to do what is best for the pugs in our care.

Thank you
