Hey guys, my name is Pedro, now known as Petie. I am a tall lanky 4 year old boy, black/rust, cropped and docked. My leash manners would benefit greatly from an obedience class. I sit and down nicely for food. I will do best with hopefully a fenced in yard, a playmate, children 5’ and taller with no cats please. My dream is have a family to love me and hopefully a 4-legged sibling with a backyard to romp in. I was dumped at a shelter, but I have learned to adjust to the crate and can now sleep the entire night. I love raw soup bones and all treats. I am skinny right now, but my foster mom has been steadily fixing that. I have energy to burn and am in no way a couch potato. I am ready to rock and roll with a family that loves me. My foster mom says I am one sweet young man who just wants to be loved.
DAR&E is a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the burgeoning needs of Dobermans in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and eastern West Virginia areas.
Our primary directives are to educate the public about Dobermans, to assist owners in placing unwanted Dobermans, to provide foster homes and veterinary care for rescued and relinquished Dobermans and to place Dobermans into loving homes through our adoption program.
Our primary concern is the health and well being of the Dobermans we foster and adopt out.

Our Adoption Process...
We only adopt to approved adopters who live in the Maryland, Virginia, DC or West Virginia areas. We do not make exceptions. We perform homevisits, vet checks and require an adoption fee to cover part of our costs. Our dogs are all up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If you see a pet you are interested in, please go to our website (www.dobe.net) and submit an adoption application.
