Maddie's Story...
Maddie is a tiny and sweet girl, weighing in at only 4 lbs! She is very calm and laid back, and she is a pure lap dog. One of her favorite things to do is dance for her food and treats! She likes to curl up in her blankets and relax on the sofa during her free time. She also likes to go for car rides, and she would love to have a home where she can just do as she pleases! She is in a foster home with dogs and cats of all sizes, and she mostly likes to keep to herself and her human. We don't recommend her for a home with small children due to her size. She is around 3 years old and she is nearly blind in one eye due to an injury in her past. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, HW negative, dewormed, and current on trifexis. You can fill out an app for Maddie here: She is located near Huntsville, AL, but she is available in your area!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Homewood Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
