Facts about Gracie

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Tortoiseshell
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Medium
Gracie is a very special little girl. She has not had a very easy life in her 5-6 years on this earth. Gracie does have special needs to some extent. Gracie's teeth are broken and requires a small kibble food. She eats dry food just fine and does enjoy the occasional canned food (too much and she gets a little chunky). Gracie would do best as the only cat but has lived with dogs and has done just fine. Gracie is the greeter in her foster home. She comes up right to you and company and wants loving. On a cold night and even hot evening all she wants to do is sit on your lap and hear about your day. Don't let Gracie's age fool you she might not be a kitten but has many years of loving ahead of her and is looking to find her forever person(s) to love and cherish.

About Humane Society of Livingston County

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of volunteers who try to alleviate the overpopulation of cats in our county through a Trap/Neuter/Release program for feral cats, by offering a spay/neuter voucher program and by taking in and adopting out as many kittens/cats as our foster program permits. Our county has no shelter for cats, and we receive no financial help from our county, so we rely entirely on membership fees, donations, grants, and fund raising events. We do this all on a volunteer basis because we care deeply about the welfare of the cats in our area.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Weekends ONLY 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 67 Genesee St. Avon, NY 14414

We do not have a permanent shelter, so all of our kittens/cats are housed in foster homes. This means some animals do not do well being at the adoption center, so for those animals you will need to call our line to make an appointment to see the animal.

Our Adoption Process...
