Sonya's Story...
JUST RESCUED.....STAY TUNED
SONYA WAS SURRENDERED BY HER OWNERS

So many times I see the message....moving and can't take her with me. WHAT? I don't get it. Who does that? Who leaves behind a family member? I just can't begin to wrap my mind around this concept of surrendering a dog to a kill shelter cause you are moving and can't take them!

Sonya is a beautiful, looks to be a golden or spaniel mix and is around 40lbs (a little on the skinny side- but we will take care of that in no time). Right now she is at our vet's office in North Carolina and being updated on all vaccines, microchipped and spayed. She will be in fourteen days quarantine to make sure she's healthy and will shortly thereafter be ready for a foster home and adoption. As we learn more about her we will update and share.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonya, a Billerica Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Billerica, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Billerica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Billerica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Billerica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Billerica paves the way for another one to be saved.
