Dozer's Story...
Hello!! My name of Dozer and I am a wonderful, gentle, big, loving, 6-year-old male Great Dane. I get along great with people and I love kids. While I do not mind Weims I am living with, I have to tell you that I prefer the females over the male. I would be fine as an only dog or in a home without a male or dominant dog. But no small dogs please. And guess what?? I am currently being fostered in a home with cats AND chickens as well and I am totoally fine with both! I have great recall and I will stay right by you while outside. I know all my basic comands. I also have great leash manners and I do not pull at all. I even heal when told. My foster mom took me out on a boat, which I loved because honestly, I just want to be with people as much as possible!! I am being fostered in Lowell, MI.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dozer, a Grand Haven Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
