Randy's Story...
COURTESY POST: Randy

Randy is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky guy. He truly loves everyone and everything thing and we haven't met a happier dog. His tail is always wagging and he can rarely contain his love or excitement. We have nick-named him Tigger because he leaps and bounds around the house with such joy.
Randy is of course adorable, but he also has the softest, silkiest coat. He has tan speckles all over and receives compliments on his good looks everywhere he goes.
Randy is crate-trained, house-trained, walks well on a leash, and is well socialized. He loves other dogs! He also loves cats, so as long as your cat is dog savvy, they would do well together. If your kitty is scared and runs away, he will think it's a fun game of chase.
He can be a little too exuberant so homes with children and lots of breakables are not the best for this little Tigger :) Despite Randy's exuberance, he is also quite sensitive. He is upset and sometimes overreacts when you lean on him or step on him. He needs a supportive home that will take him to obedience training and help his confidence grow.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Randy, a Baltimore Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
