Facts about Kaylee

  • Breed: Calico
  • Color: Calico Or Dilute Calico
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
Kaylee is a lovely diluted calico who was in pretty rough shape when we first met her – she had a bad kitty cold and was in desperate need of dental care. With daily improvements, we are discovering Kaylee is a feisty gal with an amazing sleight of paw! Yes, that’s right, you have to be careful what you leave out in Kaylee’s presence! We got our first clue early on…she was still contained in her cage until she got well enough to be free-roaming. Imagine our surprise when we’d see Kaylee’s cage door open and Kaylee enjoying the fruits of her labor. Kaylee is a master at opening cages. Now that she is better and no longer confined to her cage, we’ve learned that when it comes to meal time, Kaylee isn’t shy about grabbing open cans of food. Once she managed to stick her whole paw in the can and another time she started wandering off with the can. We think it’s safe to say she is food motivated and isn’t afraid to use her sleight of paw talents to help out in her quest for food!

Despite her talents, Kaylee is a very relaxed kitty who enjoys wandering around and exploring. She likes to keep an eye on her people and will meow in response when she hears your voice. Kaylee loves attention from her people and is very affectionate. She loves being pet and enjoys being brushed. Kaylee thinks other kitties are ok, however she prefers to observe them rather than engage with them.

Living life as a stray isn’t easy, so this sweet girl is thrilled to get a fresh start at life and is anxious to see who will help her continue the journey that RESCUE has started her on.

About Our Rescue Group...

RESCUE is a registered non-profit volunteer based animal rescue organization located in Maricopa County. RESCUE has no central facility and is volunteer run. Our focus is on the "kill lists." We were founded in 1995, and with the support of our volunteers and our community, we have found homes for over 11,000 dogs and cats. Our motto is for every animal adopted, we are back to rescue another. We depend on the community for our support and offer a variety of satisfying ways for you to get involved in our mission to end the killing of the orphaned dogs and cats. Please consider adopting, volunteering or donating.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter. We are at various special events around the valley. Please see our Upcoming Events section on our website for further information. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to some of our wonderful animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Fill out an online application, have an interview with a Matchmaker, if we are in philosophical alignment, set up a meet and greet and if all goes well finalize the adoption. Our service fee for dogs is $150 and $125 for cats. All our dogs and cats are spayed and neutered prior to adoption.
