Facts about Molly Brown

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Molly Brown is female, about 2 years old, about 60 lbs, and appears to be a Lab and Shepherd mix. This poor girl has been through a lot! She was found as a pregnant stray with a couple of small injuries. Her puppies were adopted out some months ago, and since then she’s been able to get much needed hydrotherapy on a healed leg fracture, and ACL surgery on her other leg. She has healed well and is getting rehab and recovery in her lovely foster home in Vancouver, BC (Molly Brown also stays sometimes in Seattle, WA). She is already moving around well again, and will need just a few months to ramp back up to full activity.

Molly is good with other dogs (sometimes bossy, but nothing extreme), very sweet with adults and children, and very mellow (but unfortunately not good with cats). Molly Brown does have some separation anxiety, so will need a home where a family member is around most or all of the time. She is housebroken and crate trained, and knows basic manners. Molly would love to be your new companion on walks or jogs, dog park trips, car rides, and movie nights at home!

Even though the rescue is based in Eastern Washington, Molly Brown is being fostered in Vancouver, BC and can be adopted locally or brought down the I-5 Corridor (for example, to the Bellingham or Seattle area) for an approved adopter. Molly’s adoption fee is $350 and includes her spay, up-to-date basic vaccines, up-to-date rabies vaccine, and microchip. About Red Waggin' Rescue - Kirkland Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Red Waggin' Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 that grew out of Connell Pet Rescue. We are a small group of dedicated volunteers that do this part-time and unpaid.

The City of Connell is located in Eastern Washington, and since it is a small city, it has no animal control, no proper animal shelter, and no pet rescue services. Red Waggin' Rescue is fully staffed by part-time volunteers to help the City of Connell Police Department rescue, provide vet care for, and find new forever homes for homeless dogs and other animals from Connell, WA and the surrounding areas. Our volunteers and foster homes are active in both Eastern Washington and the Puget Sound areas.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Although there is a small holding area managed by the City of Connell Police Department, Red Waggin' Rescue/Connell Pet Rescue has no permanent shelter facility.

Our animals stay in foster homes while they await their new homes, that are found in Eastern Washington and all the way to the Puget Sound area.

Generally, if an approved adopter is interested in another part of Washington State, transport can be arranged and runs roughly every other weekend.

Our Adoption Process...

Email Connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application form.

If you are interested to make one of our animals your new family member, please email connellpetrescue@gmail.com for an application form, which you may fill out and email back to us.

Please allow a few days for a response, as we are only part-time volunteers. We require a completed application in order to meet a pet.

Once approved, if you meet a pet and all agree it is a good match: a volunteer will do a home visit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and begin the approval period. Generally, adoption fees are $250–$350 for dogs and $50–$150 for cats, and include spaying/neutering, basic vaccines, and microchipping, all required by our rescue.

All of our adoptions include a 7-day money-back approval period. After 7 days, a pet must still be returned to our rescue but adoption fees are not refunded.
