Calvin's Story...
Born approximately April 3, Calvin and his sister Sara Smiles were rescued from a dangerous life outside when they were small kittens. Calvin has shiny black fur, so handsome! He is "all boy", spending most of his time playing and exploring. He and his sister, Sara Smiles, love to wrestle and cuddle, and he has a very curious streak. If he sees or hears something new, he has to explore! Although he would rather play hard with his toy balls and mice, he loves to lay in your lap and give tiny purrs. He has been neutered, is completely vetted and is ready to join your household!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Gainesville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gainesville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Gainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
