Murphy--adopted!!'s Story...
Murphy is a silly 1 to 2 year old red dobie boy that came to us as a stray. We can tell by his coat that he has lived most of his life outside but he is quickly adjusting and loving life indoors! It has become very obvious to us that Murphy has not always been treated with the love and kindness any animal deserves, but he is a forgiving soul and learning that not all people want to harm him. He loves treats but won't always eat them right away, he carries them off and tries to save them for another time. But it doesn't stop him for coming back for another, you never know when you will need extra treats!

Murphy played well with the other dogs in his temporary foster home. He also met some kitties and for the most part ignored them but when they run kitties are very interesting and can be fun to chase. No harm meant but with his puppy clumsiness some cats may not appreciate him.

Murphy enjoyed his walk but his leash manners could use a little bit of work. No worries, he is a fast learner. Murphy has been freshly neutered so he is still marking in the house but this behavior was quickly going away even after a few hours in the foster home. Not a huge fan of the crate but once he had a nice bath and got a big fluffy quilt he does settle down.

Murphy needs a family that will take the time to work with him on basic obedience and show him the love that he has been missing so far in his life. He would be best in a home without small children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy--adopted!!, a New Richmond Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in New Richmond, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in New Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
